• What is in my unit and what should I bring with me or be prepared to go purchase?

      Upon arrival in your packet there will be a check list of items, please take a moment to check this list and let the office know if any items are missing. You will have a welcome basket in your unit that includes a "starter kit" until you are able to get to the store.  In the welcome basket you will find the following:

      • 3 packets of dishwasher detergent
      • 1 bottle of liquid dish soap
      • 2 trial boxes of laundry soap
      • 4 plastic cups
      • 3 trash bags
      • 1 green scrub pad
      • 1 roll of paper towels
      • 4 coffee filters

      In each of the bathrooms you will find:

      • 2 rolls of toilet paper
      • 1 box tissue
      • 2 small bars of soap   

       As for linens, each bed is ready for use with all sheets ONLY. Each bed will have an available blanket located in the closet of the bedrooms The bed in the sofa is not pre-made and the sheets are in the master closet.  Towels are also provided (8 bath towels, 8 washcloths, 4 hand towels, 2 bath mats, 2 dish towel and two dish cloths). You will need to use the washer and dryer in the unit (not full sized due to space limitations and can only do smaller loads) as we do not provided a full time housekeeping department.

      At the time of your departure PLEASE strip all bed of linens and place with all towels and blankets in the laundry bag that is provided and leave in the unit.

    • Out Door Grills

      We do have a grill area on the North side of the building that is semi covered from the elements. There are two gas grills and a standard grill available for your use. You will however need to come to the office to sign out a key (a $10 cash deposit is required per key). When the key is returned at the end of your stay you will be refunded the deposit.

    • Are the units Wheel Chair friendly?

      We do have some units with oversized entry to the master baths and a walk in shower. We also do have some shower chairs that we can put in your unit. If you are in need of one of these units PLEASE let us know as soon as possible so that we can be sure you are assigned in one. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL DAY OF ARRIVAL AS WE ONLY HAVE A FEW AND IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO MOVE YOUR UNIT.

    • Pool / Spa Rules and Hours
      • Swimming pool passes are required when using the pool and spa.  You can check out the pool passes from the office (there is a $1.00 refundable deposit for each tag) one tag per family is required.  You can get additional pool tags if you would like. 
      • The pools are open year round except when cleaning. Summer Outdoor Pool hours 10 AM - 11 PM  and the Indoor Pool  8:30 AM - 12:00 AM Winter Outdoor Pool hours (DECK ONLY) 8:30 AM - 10:00 PM (NO SWIMMING) and the Indoor Pool  8:30 AM - 10:00 PM 
      • NO glass in the pool areas.
      • Children under 4 years of age are not allowed in the spa.
      • Children under 13 years of age are required to have adult supervision at all times in and around the pool areas.                                     
    • Parking for Atalaya

       There is parking in front of the building and right across the street. Please be sure that your parking pass is visible in the front window with the information visible.  Due to limited parking we only allow TWO parking passes per unit.

    • Are there lounge chairs for me to use?

      We have lounge chairs on the sun deck and in the outdoor pool area.  They are on a " first come" basis so please do not tie up a chair when you are not using it.  The lounge chairs are not to be taken to the beach. If you need a beach chair you can rent one along with an umbrella through the lifegaurd/ beach services. Please visit www.horrycounty.gov  for beach rules and regulations.

    • Are pets allowed at Atalaya?

      Pets are NOT allowed at Atalaya Towers.  Full owners may have pets and private rental may allow pets. ADA Service animals are allowed however. Please be sure to let us know that you will be bringing your ADA Service animal as they is paperwork that you will need to complete.

    • What is open in the area

      As we all know these are not normal times and things are changing on a daily basis. This includes restaurants, bars and local attractions. Please visit www.visitmyrtlebeach.com for all openings and events in the area.
